Discovery Academy là một chương trình phát triển thanh thiếu niên cung cấp các cơ hội giáo dục chất lượng làm nổi bật thế mạnh của Green River College và đối tác của họ trong giáo dục cộng đồng, Highline College. Chương trình này tập trung vào việc sử dụng các điểm mạnh của từng cá nhân trong khi tận dụng các nguồn lực kết hợp, tiềm năng tiếp cận cộng đồng và tiền quảng cáo để phục vụ mạng lưới rộng nhất trong Cộng đồng South Sound của chúng tôi. Học viện Khám phá có khả năng thu hút các học sinh tương lai vào thời điểm sớm và then chốt trong quá trình phát triển giáo dục, đồng thời xây dựng mối quan hệ với cả các cá nhân và cộng đồng của họ trên đỉnh cao của giáo dục sau trung học. Công việc được thực hiện thông qua cách tiếp cận hợp tác và tích hợp với các nhà giáo dục cộng đồng khác, các đối tác cộng đồng, khoa và bộ phận hành chính. We're excited to offer an unparalleled volunteer opportunity for juniors and seniors, where you'll have the chance to hone your skills, build new ones, and make a difference in the lives of young people.
As part of our team, you'll receive high-quality training and mentorship in a variety of areas including group management, camp procedures and rules, professional communication and conflict resolution, first aid, and leadership. You'll also have the opportunity to lead hands-on activities for groups of kids ages 8-14 and take part in other camp related functions. But the benefits of this experience don't stop there!
